RustMapCDN is a free service that hosts Rust custom map files and serves them to your server and its players. Using it means accepting what is on this page. It is written plainly on purpose.
What you can upload
- Rust map files, and nothing else. Uploads are checked against the Rust map format, and anything else is refused.
- Maps you made, bought or otherwise have the right to share. If a map's licence does not allow you to put it online, do not upload it here.
- Up to 200 MB per map, and 20 uploads a day per organisation through the API.
You keep ownership of what you upload. By uploading it, you let us store it and serve it to anyone with the link, which is what makes the map load for your players.
What we promise
- Maps stay online for 90 days from upload, and your dashboard always shows the expiry date.
- A link keeps working for as long as the map is live. We do not change or reuse links.
- The service is free. No ads, no payment details, no selling your data.
- If we ever have to make a breaking change to the API, it arrives as a new version and version 1 keeps running.
What we do not promise
This is a free service provided as it is. We aim to keep it up all the time, and the home page shows how it has actually done, but we cannot guarantee it will never be down or that a file will never be lost. Keep your own copy of every map you upload. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses that follow from an outage, a lost file or a map link that stops working.
Your account
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what your organisation's admins upload.
- Keep API keys secret. Anyone holding a key can upload and change maps in that organisation. Revoke a key the moment it leaks.
- Do not try to break the service, get around its limits, or use it as general file storage.
Removing things
We can remove a map or an account that breaks these terms, is illegal, or puts the service at risk, usually without warning where the content is clearly infringing or harmful. You can delete an organisation yourself at any time from its Settings page, and restore it within 30 days.
If you believe a map here infringes your copyright, message us with the link and we will look into it.
Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top shows when they last did, and carrying on using the service means the new version applies.
